VB Offense - 6-2 or 5-1 or 4-2

I have used all the offenses listed above for every level that I have coached at some point. Please help other coaches in selecting the best offense for their teams?

These are my suggestions:

Great Setter (Not much of a hitter/blocker) - Go with a 6-2 for the sole purpose of having a better hitter or blocker to assist with the Outside Hitter. I love the idea of having 3 hitter at all times. Having this can really throw off the opponents and get a lot of one on one matchups.

Great Tall Setter - Can Block and Hit - Go with a 5-1 -- Try to teach the setter to "Jump Set" every pass. This way the opponent has to watch for setter going up to set and or hit.

Any other suggestions? How do you use these offensive schemes?

Volleyball Defense - What's Best?

There are many styles of Volleyball Defenses out there. The two most commonly used are: Perimeter (Middle Deep) or Middle Up? What should be used at each level? Or are there other styles of defense being used? What do you use?
